Greigii

Modern Greigii Tulips were developed from the species of the same name, which is native to Turkestan. The stems are shorter than most tulips, but the blooms are quite large in proportion.

Greigii Tulips are perfect for containers and alpine gardens. Foliage is also interesting, often showing dark colored variegation. They naturalize well in areas where tulips are easily grown.
