Veronica umbrosa 'Georgia Blue', also known as 'Cambridge Blue, Veronica peduncularis, Creeping Veronica and Speedwell, was awarded the 2005 Georgia Gold Medal Plant Award and its popularity has increased ever since. It is native to Eastern Europe. Foliage is evergreen in warmer climates, turning to bronze in fall. Blue flowers appear in early spring and continue for many weeks. Mature height is 2 inches to 4 inches. 'Georgia Blue' spreads 12 inches to 18 inches.


'Georgia Blue' thrives in full sun to partial shade in USDA climate zones 4 through 9, performing best in average, well-drained soil with pH ranging from 5.6 to 7.5. Space from 18 inches apart.


'Georgia Blue' is heat and drought tolerant, deer resistant and rabbit resistant, and attracts butterflies.
